Our Team

Justin founded the Alex Rezkalla Foundation in 2023 and serves as the President and Executive Director. He is also father to Alex Rezkalla, the foundation's namesake.

In his professional career, Justin currently serves as Assistant Vice President, Digital Product Manager at Corporate One Federal Credit Union, a premier provider of investment, funding and payment solutions for America's credit unions. Justin is a driven, analytical, and results-oriented leader with over 25 years of financial service and banking industry experience leading projects and process improvement initiatives. Justin is a certified Digital Product Manager through the AIPMM and Credit Union Development Educator for the National Credit Union Foundation.

It is his creative thinking and passion for leading change that drove Justin to create the golf outing years ago as a forum to raise both awareness and funds. He had a vision for forming a foundation in Alex's name to create a legacy and vehicle to help drive change. He looks at his work as not only serving Alex and his own family, but the broader Duchenne Community. Justin believes all kids deserve a chance to grow up.

In addition to work and the foundation, Justin serves as a volunteer at Nationwide Children's Hospital for the Connecting Families Program where he helps guide newly diagnosed families along their journey. Justin also serves as Chair of the Ohio Committee for Credit Unions for Kids organization. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and attending Ohio State sporting events, movies and concerts.

Dawn founded the Alex Rezkalla Foundation in 2023 and serves as the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. She is also mother to Alex Rezkalla, the foundation's namesake.

In her professional career, Dawn currently serves as VP Finance at Covetrus, a global leader in animal health technology and services. She has spent more than 25 years within the accounting and finance functions at Fortune 500 and industry-leading companies such as Lbrands, The Wendy's Company, and Sysco Foods. She started her career with Ernst & Young and is a licensed CPA (inactive) in the State of Ohio. Throughout her journey, Dawn has earned a reputation for being a strategic thinker and problem solver who effectively influences others.

It is this set of skills along with her passion for the cause that Dawn brings to the table in the Duchenne Community. In addition to founding the Alex Rezkalla Foundation, Dawn serves on the Board of Directors for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, a national organization fighting to end Duchenne. She routinely advocates on behalf of all of those living with Duchenne through government advocacy, speaking engagements, educational sessions, and serving on panel discussions.

Outside of work and advocacy, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family and playing golf.

Cory has been an avid supporter of our fundraising efforts since 2019. He became a Board Member and founding Officer / Secretary of The Alex Rezkalla Foundation in 2023.

Cory is a Client Relationship Leader at Hosket Ulen Insurance Solutions and thrives at the work he does for his commercial clients, personal lines accounts and life insurance customers. He completed his CIC designation, (Certified Insurance Counselor), which brings him even more industry, agency and management knowledge to serve those who have the pleasure of working with him.

Cory graduated from The Ohio State University, where he was the captain of the baseball team and now lives in Dublin with his wife, Tori, and their two children. When he’s not working, Cory enjoys coaching and watching his children’s sporting activities. He also relishes in his church community at St. Brigid of Kildare, playing golf and baseball.

Nadia began working with the Alex Rezkalla Foundation in 2023 as our Social Media and Marketing Intern. She will be focusing on our branding assets and social media presence, building campaigns and working on targeting new audiences. Nadia is attending Washington University in St. Louis where she’s studying marketing and anthropology. In her spare time, Nadia loves learning new instruments and hanging out with her dog, Appa. We are very grateful to have Nadia on our team.

Jason has been an avid supporter of our fundraising efforts since 2016. He began working with The Alex Rezkalla Foundation in 2024, supporting our technology tools and needs in his free time.

As Principal Consulant with avaap and an IT leader with over 20 years of experience focused on Strategic Planning & Execution, Jason understands how important it is to take someone's vision and bring it to life. He cares deeply for our cause and has been a volunteer on our golf event planning committee since 2022. Jason graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. When he's not working, Jason enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. We are very grateful to have Jason on our team.
